Sympact.net redesign

Stopping development to build a corporate site has always been a headache for us.  After the Bokay Me launch we decided to take a day to clean things up over on sympact.net.  While we all love the Brooklyn Bridge, it was time to put some relevant content on the site.  We know there is still a long way to go but we think this is a dramatic improvement for a days work.

Take a look at the new www.sympact.net and let us know what you think.

Bokay Me - 1000 Users

In under a weeks time and with nothing more than an email blast Bokay Me has reached over 1000 users.  The feedback has been fantastic.  Flowers really make an impact.  All of us here at Sympact hope to bring a complete experience and a finished Bokay Me platform by Valentines Day.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Moving to Engine Yard

After a great hosting experience with Rackspace we are undergoing a bittersweet move to Engine Yard.  Engine Yard has emerged as the most hands on and cutting edge Ruby on Rails hosting providers in the market.  We believe that the level of service they provide will allow us to remove network administraton and  the headaches that come with rails deployment from our already too long list of concerns.  We are currently in the process of migrating, but have run into a small issue with one of our class names conflicting with a class in the rails name space.  I'm hoping it will be resolved soon and Engine Yard can prove to us  that they are really the most knowledgeable Ruby on Rails hosting providers in town.

Bokay Me

After teaming up with 1800flowers for Thank the Troops program Sympact and 1800flowers have joined forces again to build a top notch digital gifting platform.  At this point in time it is only a market research project, but if things go well it could blossom into a full grown application.

Check out www.bokayme.com to customize your own bokay of flowers and send it via email, mobile phone, or social network.

Here is an example of a bokay I just made

Hello World!

Well the time has finally come for Sympact Technologies to begin blogging.  We've had a crazy year of development and things are beginning to materialize. We are hoping to use this blog as a way to share our progress with the public.  More is on the way but be sure to visit www.sympact.net.
